How do I get a Torrente in PvP?


There are two main ways to get a Torrente: scavenging and crafting. Scavenging is straightforward but depends on RNG—you might find a Torrente on enemy NPCs, in loot crates, or through event drops. Crafting requires the Torrente blueprint and the appropriate materials, which include Advanced Mechanical Components, Medium Gun Parts, and Steel Springs.


If you don’t have the blueprint yet, you can buy ARC Raiders blueprints cheap with U4N deals, which can save time instead of waiting for drops. Once you have a blueprint, crafting becomes a matter of having enough materials and the required Gunsmith skill level.





What makes Torrente different from other LMGs?


In practice, the Torrente has three defining characteristics:




  1. Ammo capacity: Even at its base level, the magazine is sizable (60 rounds), and upgrades can increase this to 90. This allows you to sustain fire longer than most weapons in PvP, which can pressure multiple opponents or hold objectives.






  2. Accuracy limitations: The Torrente is only accurate while crouched. In PvP, players often make the mistake of standing and spraying, which results in significant bullet spread. Practically, you’ll want to use cover, crouch behind obstacles, and time your shots for maximum effectiveness.






  3. Moderate armor penetration and damage: Its damage is consistent at 8 per hit, with moderate ARC armor penetration. How should I upgrade my Torrente for PvP?


Upgrading the Torrente improves magazine size, reload speed, and durability. Here’s what each level gives you in practice:



  • Torrente I → II: +10 magazine, 15% faster reload, +10 durability. This makes your initial engagements smoother, as you can fire longer without needing to reload.






  • Torrente II → III: +20 magazine, 30% faster reload, +20 durability. At this point, you can use it for sustained suppression while remaining relatively mobile.






  • Torrente III → IV: +30 magazine, 45% faster reload, +30 durability. This final upgrade turns the Torrente into a very reliable support weapon in PvP, capable of holding positions or covering teammates while they flank enemies.





In practice, most PvP players aim for at least Torrente III because the combination of magazine size and reduced reload time makes it viable for extended engagements without running out of ammo mid-fight.





How do I repair the Torrente?


Repairing is straightforward but requires materials:



  • Torrente I: 1 Advanced Mechanical Component + 1 Medium Gun Part → +50 durability






  • Torrente II: 2 Advanced Mechanical Components + 1 Medium Gun Part → +55 durability






  • Torrente III: 2 Advanced Mechanical Components + 3 Medium Gun Parts → +60 durability






  • Torrente IV: 3 Advanced Mechanical Components + 3 Medium Gun Parts → +65 durability





In PvP, weapon durability is important because frequent battles can wear your weapon down, affecting firing stability. Keep repair materials on hand, especially if you plan long PvP sessions.





Should I crouch all the time?


Crouching is critical with the Torrente. Since the weapon’s accuracy is poor when standing, PvP players typically adopt a crouch-and-fire tactic:



  • Cover-based crouching: Use corners, rocks, or debris. You can crouch, fire a burst, and move to the next cover.






  • Adaptive crouch movement: Some players switch between crouching and prone to manage recoil while staying mobile. This reduces exposure while maintaining effective fire.





Remember, the Torrente is less about sniping and more about controlled suppression. Crouching effectively maximizes your damage output and minimizes wasted bullets.





How do players use the Torrente in team PvP?

For example, recycling a Torrente III gives 2 Advanced Mechanical Components and 3 Medium Gun Parts. This is useful if you want to rebuild another weapon or trade parts for upgrades.

  1. Positioning is everything: Stand in cover, crouch, and peek when firing. Open-field spray is rarely effective.
